REGISTRATION: The Great Midlands Fun Run reserves the right to refuse to accept any registration/application.

For the safety and enjoyment of all, a maximum of 6000 entries will be accepted in 2020. Registration will end when either the maximum number of entries has been received or Monday 27 July 2020 whichever is sooner [no late entries will be accepted and no entries are accepted on the day of the Great Midlands Fun Run, Sunday, 20 September]. Entries will be accepted on a first to register, first to run basis.

If your postal/personal application is accepted entry fee adults £24; juniors [14 & under on 31 May] £14; dogs £5 is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Your official 2020 Great Midlands Fun Run sponsor form, printed for the original date of Sunday 31 May ahead of the Coronavirus outbreak will also act as your receipt, and will only be issued after acceptance of your completed entry form.

In exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Event Director, your place may be transferred to another entrant of the equivalent category and a charge of not less than £5 and no more than £10 will be administered before the transfer of details are undertaken.

When completing your application form, it is the responsibility of the person completing the entry form to ensure the correct postal address, including the postcode is entered. The Great Midlands Fun Run cannot accept any responsibility for sponsor forms/official receipts and Information Packs being posted to incorrect addresses if incorrectly entered on entry forms. The Event Director, at his discretion, will issue replacements at an additional charge of no less than the full entry fee for respective categories i.e. Adults £24; Juniors [14 & under on 31 May] £14; dogs £5.

The Great Midlands Fun Run cannot be held responsible for run numbers, timing tags lost or damaged in the post or by the entrant once delivered.

In exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Event Director, a replacement number/timing tag will be issued and a charge not more than the equivalent entry fee £24 adults; £14 juniors & £5 dogs will be administered before the replacement number/timing will be issued.

Official sponsor forms will be dispatched to your nominated address within 10 working days once your registration has been received and accepted and your runner’s information pack, including your official entry number, assembly instructions, maps & timing tag will be posted 2nd class on Tuesday 1 September, 2020.

All entry forms must be signed. If you are entering a junior [14 & under on 31 May] a parent or legal guardian must sign the entry form to accept the terms and conditions. Once you have completed your registration, your place is NON-TRANSFERABLE except with the express permission and agreement of the Event Director.

Remember you can nominate a charity, voluntary organisation or community interest group of your choice to receive the money you raise in sponsorship. The GMFR will, where possible, add further money to that which you raise off line and pay into the dedicated Great Midlands Fun Run sponsorship account, which means you can gain even greater benefit from your fundraising efforts. If raising sponsor money off-line via the official Great Midlands Fun Run sponsor form, please ensure you follow the paying-in instructions using your personalised Lloyds Bank credit slip included in your event information pack, which you will receive in the post before the rescheduled event on Sunday 20 September.

Great Midlands Fun Run is not responsible for applications lost in the post and proof of posting is not proof of receipt. You enter the Great Midlands Fun Run entirely at your own risk and the organisers will NOT be held responsible for any injuries sustained by you or for any property lost before, during or after the event. By completing, signing and submitting your completed entry form, you confirm that you are medically fit to participate in the 8.5 mile event.

You agree to support and pay all sponsor monies raised by you off-line into the dedicated ‘Great Midlands Fun Run’ sponsorship account only.

On safety grounds, all junior entrants – without exception – must assemble and start from the Junior/Family Assembly Area in South Parade. Any juniors, whose course time indicates they have started from the Adult Assembly Area, WILL have their course time removed from the official times published on the Fun Run web site and in the Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer. Adults who wish to start with juniors may assemble and start with them from South Parade.

When entering, you agree to your email address, if supplied, being added to our email database which is used exclusively by us.

All participants and spectators may be filmed, photographed or recorded for broadcast, security, health and safety purposes.
