Sutton Spas ‘bubbling with excitement’ ahead of Fun Run
A family run hot tub business, located in the royal town of Sutton Coldfield, is the latest commercial partner to team up with the Great Midlands Fun Run.
Sutton Spas, based in Boldmere, has joined as a Supporting Sponsor of the town’s annual fundraising event, which this year will be staged on Sunday, 31st May. They are a flagship retailer for the only UK hot tub manufacturer ‘RotoSpa’ – offering hot tub hire, sales and maintenance they have something for everyone.Sutton Spas Technical Director, Karl Rowntree explained: “In recent years we’ve had a ‘whale of a time’ entering a team into the Fun Run pushing a Dura spa around the course and raising money for Starlight Children’s Foundation.
“Last year we started to explore the possibility to become more involved on a commercial basis. A suitable sponsorship package arose very close to the launch of this year’s event and we seized on the chance to put something back into the town and support what is a great family event and one which raises huge amounts of money for charities and voluntary organisations.
“We plan to enter a bigger team of ‘Sutton Spas Superheroes’ this year, again pushing around a Dura spa raising money for our chosen charity Starlight Children’s Foundation.”
Fun Run Event Director Tracey Spare said: “An unexpected sponsorship opportunity arose literally on the day we were about to print this year’s entry and sponsor forms. I managed to put a hold on the printing and to their credit, Karl and his team at Sutton Spas agreed the package within 24 hours.
“I’m delighted to have Sutton Spas www.suttonspas.co.uk on board as a commercial partner and hope this is the start of a longer term relationship. For whatever reason, we’re facing unprecedented rises in supplier costs this year, so to secure the commercial support of Sutton Spas, so close to launch, was a real bonus.”
You can register online for this year’s Great Midlands Fun Run via the link at www.greatmidlandsfunrun.org or use the postal application on this page.
Tracey concluded: “We’re now well into the seven-week registration period and I want to remind readers that if we fill all available 6000 places, registration will close ahead of the scheduled calendar closing date of 11pm Monday, 30 March.
